A significant fire broke out at Dubai’s Barasti Beach bar early Monday morning, but it has since been brought under control.
Videos circulating on social media captured thick plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Firefighters responded promptly to the scene and managed to contain the blaze quickly.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. However, a statement from Le Meridien Mina Seyahi assured that it was an isolated incident, rapidly controlled, and resulted in no injuries.
“We are fully operational, with only the pool and beach areas currently closed,” the statement read.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire.
The popular beach destination, part of Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina, has been welcoming guests for nearly 30 years.
Barasti announced on Instagram, “Please be advised that our pool and beach area will be closed until further notice.”
